Dr Leigh Atkinson AO
Biography

Professor Leigh Atkinson is a Pain Medicine Specialist. He developed his interest in persistent pain while training in Edinburgh as a Neurosurgeon. He was later the Founding Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane. In 1979 he co-founded a multi-disciplinary pain clinic at that hospital.

He has a special interest in trigeminal neuralgia, pain of spinal origin and multi-disciplinary pain clinics.
